Integrated Rural Development Project

The Vishwakarma University Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, VU-IQube and the Vishwakarma University Center of Communication for Development – VUCCD have undertaken the Integrated Rural Development Project. The project seeks to engage students in Innovation Opportunities, Identifying the Challenges of Real India, and making an impact through Social Entrepreneurship.

The segments of the project are:

1. Drought and Fodder Management
2. Equitable Water Distribution
3. Sustainable Environment
4. Combating Climate Change
5. Sustainable Agriculture
6. Krantivan

The students and faculty engaged in the project can take the benefit of the following opportunities:

1. Innovation opportunities
2. Rural Connect – Identifying the challenges of Rural India
3. Transformation through Social Entrepreneurship.

The following activities have been undertaken under the project:

1. A visit to Krantivan to discuss rural issues with Mr. Sampatrao Pawar, the founding member of Ugam Foundation.
2. An orientation session detailing the activities planned under the project.
3. An interactive session for he students, with Mr. Sampatrao at Vishwakarma University.
